This is your wiki sandbox.  Here you can practice editing and adding content to a wiki. 

Click on Edit Page at the top of the wiki to begin making changes.  The Invite Key is wiki.  Fill out your name and email address.  Uncheck the box for receiving notifications.  You will be saving your page periodically.

1. Editing text

Edit this sentence using the bold, underline or italic text icons.

2. Color and font

Change the color of this sentence by using the text color palette.  Change the font of this sentence by using the Font pull-down menu.

3. Save your wiki by clicking on Save at the bottom of the page.  After saving, click on Edit Page to go on to step 4.

4. Links

Create a link to an external web site of your choice using the Link button.   Choose URL as your link type, and paste in the URL of the site you are linking to.

5. Tables

Create a table using the table icon.  Choose the number of rows and columns, the height and width, etc.

6. Save your wiki by clicking on Save at the bottom of the page.  After saving, click on Edit Page to go on to step 7.

7. Images

Add an image by clicking on the Insert Image button and selecting one of the PBWiki images.  You may also upload an image (image must not be under copyright protection) found on the Web.

8. Plugins

A plugin, according to Wikipedia, is a program "that interact[s] with a host application [such as a wiki] to provide a certain, usually very specific, function 'on demand.'"  Examples include YouTube videos, spreadsheets and calendars.  Click on Insert Plugin and add the plugin of your choice.  The plugin will not appear in your wiki until you click Save.

9. Save your wiki by clicking on Save at the bottom of the page.  

10. Creating a new page within a wiki

Click on New Page at the top of your wiki.  Give the new page a name and click Create.  Add a line of text or an image to the new page, and Save it.

11. Linking to a new page within a wiki

Return to your wiki sandbox (the first page you worked on; not the page you just created) by clicking on Home at the top of the wiki, then on PBWiki practice, then on your number.

Click on Edit Page and scroll down to the bottom of your wiki.

Add a link here to the new page you created by using the Link button.  Choose Wiki Page as your link type, and choose your new page from the pull-down menu.
